What is the name of the cypher which involves wrapping a strap around a stick?

To encode, wrap a strap around a stick, place the stick parallel to the floor and write across the strap wraps - one letter per wrap. Then turn the stick a little and do the next line, etc. When the strap is unwrapped, it just looks like a string of nonsense letters.
