He just wants his cake and eat it too. In other words, you're being used because you put up with him and allow him to treat you like... well, you know. He's not going to change and will be nothing but a bad influence on your child and a pain in the neck to you. Cut him loose. Even get a restraining order against him if you have to. Also, ignore any contacts he tries to make. He just isn't worth your time.
