What would life be like without democrats?

It would be a total nightmare without liberals. There is really very little difference between Democrats and Republicans, and what differences they have is just for show. That is why I am an independent liberal. But, without liberals we would still have sweat shops paying next to nothing in wages, and we would not have the 40 hour work week, or overtime pay. We would still have abysmally unsafe working conditions, and children would still be used for slave labor. You do indeed need to do some research on the history of labor practices, going way back...just as another person mentioned in his answer. I wonder where you get your shortsighted ideas from. *sm*
